Does this boost your dps regardless of your ping, so long its not too high, say max 150 in-game, and if you're using a macro or simple mode?
It will give you relative boost regardless. Relative to how much you were doing before, I mean. Just basic attacks, with no buffs or CDs or procs, you would get a small boost. But going all out with button hell, you would get a large increase. I also believe some would see a greater increase from using Simple mode... simply because the client can hit those buttons faster than most people could. If you believe you're faster than the machine, test it out.
<option name="pending-time" value="1" /> This allows you to queue up a button with less risk of it being ignored as it will remain queued for a whole second vs just 300ms. You could raise it to whatever you wanted, but I doubt you'd need more than a second to hit a few keys (buffs, defensive abilities, whatever) while still hammering regular attacks.
<option name="pending-key-tick-time" value="0" /> This will prevent the client from adding a cooldown to a key after you've pressed it. At it's default value, there would be a 250ms delay between consecutive strikes of the same key. For exmaple RMB - wait 250ms - RMB. Now the period between consecutive presses is solely dependent on <option name="pressed-key-tick-time" value="0.075" />, which is explained below.
<option name="pressed-key-tick-time" value="0.075" /> The original value would make a key press last 250ms regardless of how long you held it down. So you could never hit a key faster than at 250ms intervals anyway. The new value sets it to 75ms. Lower values start to introduce bugs where it becomes difficult to interact with NPCs or loot items in the world.
I believe these are the 3 main options which will effect DPS.
I've tested this on Gunslinger, Warden, Force Master, and Summoner now. I've not experienced any missed/lost keystrokes.

Okay. So I wanted to know for sure how ping effected this. I turned my cell phone into a wifi hotspot and connected through that. My ping before was 130-200. It went up to 300-350. I did 10 runs, the same as my original post and took the highest result. Variance was 52k-58k. I upgrade a couple pieces of gear, so I expected it to be higher and it was.
Having a stupidly high ping will not lower your DPS - when using this addon. I did some questing and there were no interaction problems either. Have fun, high pingers.
