Tool (Buddy) Dat Editor (2020)

I decided to make this tool to render dat editing easier.
So you won't need BnS Buddy for your dat editing needs.

It works the same way as BnSBuddy does, but you only have to chose the paths manually.

How to use:
(Optional if NA/EU) 0-Press Keys and select the region key you need
1-Press Browse Button (in File Select tab)
1.5-Browse to the folder containing the Dat files you want to manipulate/edit
2-Select the item(dat) in the dropbox on the right of browse button
3-Select the file to edit in the tree below
4-(Editor tab opens automatically) You can do the changes desired to the file
5-CTRL+S to save changes.

DONE

There's also the good old fashion way of compiling/decompiling the whole file
in EXPORT/IMPORT tab

that shucks. Did you unpak the files first, then load the dat with the russian preset(if it's there)

I don't know how to unpak the files, and all the methods in the tool are ineffective.

Did you try adding your client path to bns buddy and see if you can unpack the dat from there?
Bns Buddy uses a more updated keys and auto selector.

Another issue is that BNS Buddy displays "No game installation was found". FreeBNS is a larger private server, and I played it by downloading and extracting game copies without the installation process.

You need to set the path manually in the registry since it's a private server.
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\plaync\BNS_TEST <- BaseDir ->Path to game client

is it a ue3 private server? If yes, then it's not going to work. You'll need older bns buddy which I don't keep :/

Im trying this method to use BnS buddy as it can't find the game and gets an error like attached, but i don't have the BNS_test folder to begin with. trying this for Chinese BnS live

Sadly, bns buddy no longer supports CN.

 

I see, thanks. Even for private UE3 client, i can't seem to find it.
Any i wanna run game unattended but idk how to do that. BnS seems able to do it, however it's unable to find the Registry.
Idk how to make an auto login bat file neither. an help? cause BnS buddy does it all already as long as it finds the registry i guess

BnS Buddy doesn't support private servers.
BnS Buddy v6 only supports official servers, and only ue4.
