i just installed buddy, I switched off the animations, but i can't even attack anymore, other keyboard skills work tho, just not left and right mouse button attacks. The lmb and rmb attack icons highlight when i press them, but all that happens is my character nudges forward a little with weapon raised.
I've tried to do a file repair, but after the scan and file download, it stops installing the new file saying Cannot access the file. Another program may be using the fileyou want to update.( this is without bns buddy running).
any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you removed the animations...
I don't know what you expected: you have no animations.

I was expecting attacks without animations ,i was also expecting the animations to return when I switched them on again and i was expecting bns repair to fix any problems..

Well, you can't remove the animations and expect the animations to work.

Try enabling the skills, check your mods, and as a last resource do a file scan.

clearly, i'm looking for solutions, not someone telling me the obvious
The steps you took was supposed to be enough. :/
That's what i meant.

Using buddy as-is does not cause that sort of issue if you've repaired the game files using nclauncher.

File scan again, go back to (dont forget to restart buddy)bnsbuddy and turn them back all on.
See if it works.

All i did after installing buddy was turn on multiclient and turn off animations. i've tried as you suggested to put these options back to what they were originally ,but unfortunately the animations aren't returning and the nc repair fails every time.
I have now this minute just tried using 32 bit client option in bnsbuddy and it works fine, but i usually play 64 bit and this is where my problem is :/
I'm really just trying to avoid a complete re-installation of the game, if possible.
Thanks for your suggestion,buddy.

Then delete the backup folder where your bns buddy is located at.
Make sure buddy is closed, file scan/repair again.
Reopen buddy, everything should be fine.

Restart your computer, something is obviously still running that shouldn't. Otherwise check your task manager to see if BnS or BnS buddy didn't close properly, it happends at times.

Unless you've tried this already, this is what usually causes problems like these.

Just a little update regarding my problem. It turned out that 2 or 3 of the Upk files were on damaged hard drive sectors. This made them irreparable with the bns scan and repair facility. It also made them impossible to delete via windows. The only way to fix this problem was with the windows scan disk after reset option.
Maybe this info can be useful for you and others, even tho the chances of this happening to someone else are 1 in a million lol
Anyway, thanks for your help, Endless and others who tried to help.

I strongly recommend that you backup yesterday and buy a new drive yesterday.

Assuming that what you said is correct.
