Someone was caught using ET's demon skills outside ET and killed players, and NCSoft pulled a dumb on themselves.
Regardless, here's a quick FAQ on the new events.
Is it safe to use BnSBuddy?
Will I be banned for using it?
Yes, it's safe. No, you won't be banned.
Is it safe to use <insert addon name>?
Depends a lot on the addon.
If it is an addon to edit skills, possibly safe.
If it is an addon to try to use skills you shouldn't/+500ap potion, it isn't AT ALL!
Is it safe to AFK fish?
If you use the autobait, then it's fine.
Otherwise, it may be. If you're banned for using the autohotkey (AHK) autofisher, this is your warning.
I get this error saying "bad compression method". What do I do?
For NA/EU players:
First, update BnSBuddy.
Many skip reading the #announcement channel in the Discord, and are in version 5.9.2.5 or older.
Please download BnSBuddy again.
For other regions:
Please wait for a proper 5.9.3.5 version, or try the version in #testing.
DO NOT UPDATE!
If you want to revert, you can use the version 5.9.3.3 attached.
USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK! RUN IT THROUGH VIRUSTOTAL BEFORE USING IT ON YOUR PC!
I HEREBY WAVE ANY RESPONSABILITY FOR ANYTHING (GOOD OR BAD) THAT MAY HAPPEN FROM USING THIS VERSION!
Well, now I get this message saying that the config.dat doesn't exist. What do I do?
Ignore the error message, should be addressed in 5.9.3.5.
Click OK and move on, or try the test version available, reporting your results in #testing.
What about mods? Is it safe to use them?
Mods are unrelated to addons.
Their functionality hasn't changed at all.
What about d912pxy? And d9vk?
Those are safe to use, don't worry about it.
