Addon Some info on xml skill editing

i want someone who knows what he is doing in xml edits specifically skill editing and explain me whats the difference between
context-ui-effect="key-change"
context-ui-effect="combo"
context-ui-effect="event"
and when theres just nothing there
does it change the behavior of skills or you just simply have to use the one as the skill is originally described as?
