Fish on! Collect Angler’s Pearls from fishing and exchange them for rewards.
Fishing will be making its way to Blade & Soul on June 19 with the new Blade & Soul: Empyrean Shadows update. Pristine waters are plentiful in the Earthen Realm, so fish should be bountiful!
Hooked on Fishing
Once you complete Act 10: The Gathering Dark, the Hooked on Fishing tutorial will be made available at the Fishbelly Pub in Sapphire Basin. You don’t need to complete all of Act 10 or the fishing tutorial to start fishing, but completing the quests will provide some complimentary bait. Fishing does require you to be level 60, however.
Fishing grounds are noted on the map with special markers. These locations will be the Fishbelly Pub in Sapphire Basin, the Dasari Palace Gardens in Gunwon City, and Moontide Bay in Moon Refuge.
Each fishing ground has different fish at different grades from common to rare. Every fish you catch is recorded in your Fish Log, and you’ll be rewarded Angler's Pearls for each fish you catch.
Fish On!
To start fishing, you will need some bait. You can get your first set of bait from the Hooked on Fishing tutorial, other quests, and also from the General Merchant at each fishing ground. The rarer the fish, the stronger the bait required. With bait in hand, you can right-click a bait in your Inventory while near a fishing ground to cast your lure.
Once you have a bite, you will need to press F when the icon changes and your lure starts bobbing heavily in the water to reel the fish in.
For each fish that you catch you’ll be rewarded with some Angler's Pearls, and lose three Leisure Points. These Leisure Points refresh every day at 6:00 a.m. server time to the maximum number of 225.
Rewards
At the same General Merchant at each fishing ground, you can exchange your Angler's Pearls for rewards. Some of these rewards are useful for some new collections!
